What a fantastic year 2019 has been for us.
January saw the release of our new studio album ‘Hands of Time’ go to #1 in the Amazon charts and also #2 in the iTunes blues chart, staying in there ahead of several massive artists for over a month. Also holding the #1 spot for a couple of weeks in Greece, which was a great achievement for a bunch of leathery old holdalls…
You know what, the end of January saw the ‘Hands of Times’ tour travel to Switzerland and Austria playing many sold-out venues, and then back to the UK to perform to over 15,000 CBB’ers, many of you new fans. Thank you so much for spending your time and money with us to come out and share those evenings.
One of the highlights of this year for the band was playing the HRH Festival stage in Sheffield. Over 2000 of you packed that venue out, thank you very much for coming along we had a great time with you.
We released a couple of videos, ‘Kick in the Head’, ‘What’s your Name’ and the title track ‘Hands of Time’ all were well received by you guys culminating in over 300,000 views worldwide.
We finished off our year with a sold-out gig at the Birmingham Symphony Hall with the Roy Wood Christmas show, 2,500 people many of them hearing us for the first time making us feel very special.
I am happy to tell you now that we will be releasing a lot more new music in 2020 and playing some brand new venues in Basel, Turkey, Greece and Milan so hopefully more new people to meet.
May I take this opportunity to thank all of the promoters for having faith in the band and booking us for the shows we have done this year.
To all the photographs you sent in thank you very much.
Special thanks goes to Claudia in Germany thank you so much for everything you do for us angel.
Rob in Canada, for all of the hours you put into the band.
Everyone at Silk Mill Studios and all the staff at Alive Network in Staffordshire, a massive thank you from the band for allowing us to record the videos at your place.
A big shout out to Dave for driving us all over the country.
To all of the sound, lighting and catering crews that have been so kind to us over the year.
and Mr Alyn Smith what you do for us goes without saying, you’re a real CBB’er to the core.
But lastly, I’d like to thank all of our fans old and new across the world for your love and support, as a feeling of disharmony seems to be spreading throughout this world, it’s good to know that we are all enjoying a little bit of niceness together.
Let’s keep this unity growing into 2020, and maybe, just maybe, we can turn back the hands of time.
Happy Xmas and a fantastic New Year to you all.
See you soon.
