CHELSEA BLUES, RHYTHM AND ROCK FESTIVAL RESCHEDULED

Chelsea Blues Rhythm and Rock Festival reschedule to Saturday, June 13, 2020

Chelsea Blues, Rhythm & Rock Festival has unfortunately been rescheduled again from Saturday, June 13 to October 31, 2020…

Unfortunately, Climax Blues Band regret to announce that due to a prior gig commitment at The Guildhall, Lichfield we will not see you at the Chelsea Blues Rhythm & Rock Festival which due to COVID-19 has been rescheduled from Saturday, June 13 to October 31, 2020.

With Chris Farlowe & The Norman Beaker Band headlining and five other very different impressive acts stepping on stage, this will undoubtedly be another great festival and a musical experience to savour!

Chris Farlowe always seemed destined for great things as a singer….and based on the company he kept on-stage and the people he worked with in the mid-’60s, he did succeed, at least on that level. Born John Henry Deighton in Islington, North London, in 1940, he reached his early teens just as the skiffle boom was breaking in England, and was inspired by Lonnie Donegan to enter music. Along with Manfred Mann’s Mike d’Abo and Paul Jones, Farlowe remains one of those voices from 1960s England that……hasn’t faded and simply won’t disappear.

Chris links up with Norman Beaker who has been at the forefront of the British Blues scene for over 4 decades playing with: Alexis Korner, Graham Bond, Jack Bruce, Tony Ashton, Paul Jones, Eric Burdon and many others. Norman was inducted into the Blues Hall of fame® in 2017

This year’s full line-up comprises of:
Chris Farlowe & The Norman Beaker Band – what else is there to say!
Climax Blues Band – since 1968, Climax Blues Band are very much still proudly flying that flag in the 21st century and moving forward, blending the old with the new, and loving making music! Listen to the title track off their 2019 album “Hands of Time“… you’ll be amazed.
The Cinelli Brothers – Marco & Alessandro Cinelli champion a new generation of musicians sharing a love of Blues, Soul, R&B with authentic sounds that have made blues a cornerstone of music history!
Southbound – bringing an exclusive take on British Blues, audiences are enthralled by the unique sounds and grooves that the band creates on stage which has helped to propel their career forward!
Mojo Preachers – are a five-piece, female-fronted, boundary-pushing outfit, delivering hard-hitting original tunes; conjuring up a melodiously intricate, authentic yet unconventional sound!
The Putney Modern – drawing on a rich history of British and US influences, they fuse these into a lyrically rich and melodic guitar-based groove, that’s generating a rapidly growing interest!

Designed and built with the highest attention to detail and featuring state of the art technical specifications, Under the Bridge is the ultimate space for live music and a venue that is proud of its reputation with musicians, audiences and clients.

No need to worry about searching for food and drinks on the day either, there will be a range of alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages, real ales available and a varied menu that should meet everyone’s taste!
